What is safeguarding?
Safeguarding is the action taken by responsible individuals to protect the welfare and health of a child in the event of a crisis or prevention of a potential crisis in the future.
Safeguarding children means:
- Preventing abuse to a child
- Preventing harm to a child鈥檚 health or development
- Ensuring children have the best outcomes for health and development
- Ensuring children grow up with safe and effective care

Safeguarding in schools is a legal responsibility and measures must be taken to ensure that staff are competent in the procedures for raising concerns, School and Trust wide policies must be kept up to date and easy to access and safeguarding leadership teams must be clearly established to allow for effective safeguarding to take place.
Safeguarding at 九秀直播 Schools
At 九秀直播 we employ a wide variety of strategies and solutions to safeguarding the students of our schools and employ trust wide safeguarding policies to ensure each school in the trust is following an approved and standardised format to safeguarding in schools.
We expect all members of our schools and trust to be committed to safeguarding the children in our care and provide annual refresher training to all staff new or returning each year. This ensures that all staff know the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for their school, understand the importance of safeguarding children and know what to do in the event of a safeguarding issue.
Each school employs their own safeguarding policy but all schools are governed centrally by the 九秀直播 Child Protection & Safeguarding policy which helps guide schools with their own safeguarding policies. The 九秀直播 CET abides by the WSCC Policy on Child Protection and Safeguarding which we use as a framework to build upon and ensure full compliance and effective safeguarding measures.

We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued. We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support, protection and justice. Child protection forms part of the Trust鈥檚 safeguarding responsibilities.
